'Christ in You...'

How long have you waited for God to answer your prayer?

Perhaps He is waiting for you to truly believe. One way we can think of the Bible is that God is pleading for us to believe! He has gone to great links to convince - and convict - us to truly BELIEVE.

While having a conversation with a close friend, we ended it when one of us said “let go and let God…”. The other agreed. This statement is time worn, but can be true…it works, and is the answer to many of our difficulties and lack of success in our efforts.

Letting go can be extremely difficult to do.

Especially when we strive so hard to do what we believe we must do to make a difference. Especially when the striving involves someone very close to us. A family member, a child, a job that we feel we must have in order to live - even exist.

Part of the solution to our difficulties that have caused the striving, perhaps the heartache, the desperation is expressed in the lyric to a gospel hymn (one that unfortunately is seldom heard anymore). Part of one phrase asks a question: “How long has it been?…since you talked to the Lord and told Him your heart’s hidden secrets?“ The stress can become almost unbearable, depending on our emotion and feelings at the time. Depending on the issue, we may be magnifying the problem, and through our desire and hard effort, yet we feel its getting worse with every passing day.

Without realizing it, we on our own be do not want to fail and suffer humiliation and embarrassment.

There is a Psalm with a short verse that is a wonderful solution to the stress and desperation we can be having. The one short scripture can, when believed and begun to live out, solve a multitude of difficulties, sleepless nights, exhaustion, and needless worries.

If you will read this scripture - and believe it - and act on it, you will eventually be amazed at the success over time that has occurred:

“Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).” Psalm 55:22. (AMP)

If available, read this verse in a modern translation.

And above all, believe it. If you are a Christian, believe and do it.

If you are not a Christian become one by trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior, and begin to live first of all according to the Bible. Otherwise, your desire to see the answer to your desire for help may not be answered

Then, If you will cast your care and difficulties on God, and try to relax in faith and continue doing the best you can on your part, in time you will feel better, and your responsibility will be even more productive. God will take up the difference. It want be long before you realize how wonderful it is to...

Believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior, and obey Him.

Then...

LET GO…AND LET GOD!

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]." 1 Peter 5:6-7
