'Christ in You...'

There Is A Reason

There is a reason why you are living as you are, where you are, the way you are.

If you have become one in Christ, and surrendered to Him, all that occurs in your life is for your sake. All that He allows to happen is for your good.

Our response is sometimes surprise at least, and shock and discouragement at most. At times this truth is very difficult to believe.

At times we as Christians are taken by surprise by unexpected events in our lives. Depending on each of our personalities that God ordained in us as humans, these events hit so sudden and with such profound effects that we feel paralyzed. We just do know what to do next.

There is an expression many of us have heard all our lives in reference to events - expected and, as we are now discussing, the unexpected: "there is a reason for the season". All of life has seasons; many of these seasons are natural times that come because of age. As we age, even as Christians, God allows and ordains as part of our training in spiritual things, events that seem our of character for God to allow. However, they are common to our calling.

We must keep in mind, that drawing close to Jesus Christ is our major treatment of our condition - our first answer, and our continual treatment for our condition of mind and spirit.

Most of the occurrences in our lives are "par for the course"...they are common to all committed Christians as well as the non-believer. However, when we are experiencing these times, we sometimes wonder, "why me!". However, as an evangelist expressed it, Jesus could respond with "why not you"?. Most of the trials and suffering that we suffer are common to others also...perhaps not exactly the same, but with similar difficulties in coping with them.

We need to understand and believe that its OK to go to God with our surprises, feelings, and lack of ability to adequately cope in a Christian way. Its OK to feel embarrassed, humiliated that such things are occurring in our lives. We should be comforted by the fact that all that happens to us in Christ, are common to all of us...in one form or another.

And since this is true, we can comfort and be comforted by the realization that all our experiences are ordained for us for our good, spiritual growth, and a manifestation of Jesus' love for you, no matter what station in life you occupy. He is no respecter of persons. He loves you with all the love that He had for all the saints of old, and all those of your time now.

Regardless of you trials or how they affect you, Christ loves you more than you can imagine!

No matter what occurs in your life henceforth, He loves you, He will never abandon or forsake you. Never give up on Him.

He will never give up on you.

"No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]". - 1 Corinthians 10:13
