'Christ in You...'

Time And Chance

God began to love you before the foundation of the world, along with His Only-begotten Son at that time, before anything was.

If you believe in Him, He knew in eternity past. If you belong to Christ now, He knew you before anything was - except the Father and His Son. This being true, there is nothing that can destroy what God through Jesus is doing in you. The world of those outside of Jesus Christ are subject to the vagaries and random chances working in this world, But if you belong to Christ, life may only seem to be no different from those of the world who are outside the providence of God.

However, ALL THINGS are working together for good for you and for your destiny with Him for eternity. Your life may seem to be chaotic and full of random chance, but the One who has loved you forever is working out your salvation in Jesus Christ each second, minute, hour, day, and all the future. He has always known and loved you. How are you responding to His love?...

"And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the Holy Spirit what His intent is, because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will. We are assured and know that .God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose. For those whom He foreknew of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning foreordaining them to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness, that He might become the firstborn among many brethren." - Romans 8:27-29

For those outside of belief in Jesus Christ, there is nothing in their lives but the time and chance of this world. When they plan and organize for whatever objective seems right to them, they are subject to a principle working in the world of the ungodly that they are unaware of. They feel they control their lives - and their destiny. They are living according to the principles of this world without realizing that the outcome of their plans are not really being controlled by them, but by the law of time and chance.

"I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong, neither is bread to the wise nor riches to men of intelligence and understanding nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all. For man also knows not his time of death, as the fishes are taken in an evil net, and as the birds are caught in the snare, so are the sons of men snared in an evil time when calamity falls suddenly upon them." - Ecclesiastes 9:11-12

The devil will try every scheme in his book to discourage, and depress you in order to block your efforts and plans that are within God's will for you. Always keep in mind as you live life in Him, the words of the oldest person in the world who, when asked about dying, said, "its in God's hands".

Nothing could be more encouraging and assuring than being in the loving hands of God. If you belong to Him you are always in His hands, It may seem at times that life is uncertain, chaotic, and frustrating. This is usually caused by our presumptions concerning cause and affect. Our logic is clashing with God's and His workings in our lives for our good.

It is easy, and very human, to construct our own time schedule concerning activities and plans in our lives. We are tuning in to the devil's wavelength subconsciously, and not living by faith. So many times God is saying "wait"! One of the most difficult four letter words in the English language. Draw close to Jesus Christ, and let your cares, plans - and doubts - be known to Him although He already knows you through and through. What you cannot express, the Holy Spirit will express for you to God the Father and Jesus Christ.

The world is on it's own. But not so with you...if you are trusting in Jesus Christ for all things. Let Him know your need and desire. He always hears. He will eventually answer in a way you will understand.

"Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7
