Have there been times when you thought, "what am I going to do now!"

There are always moments in all our lives when there seems to be nothing else we do. It is common to the race. We live in uncertain times in an uncertain world. As someone has summed up this feeling, we do not even have "wiggle room" - there is nothing left to do. Perhaps you are struggling with an important decision that there seems to be no clear road to take.

We may be faced with a financial crisis, a health crisis, a family crisis or - a spiritual decision that may seem to have no clear road to take. Frustration and desperation begin to grip us. Then we feel trapped in quandary not of our making.

This is a time when our faith is severely tried.

All of this God completely understands. Our Lord and Savior "has been there". And much more.

But again, we cry out what can we do!

Many times we are simply too tired to pray and make sense in our prayers. But pray we must. Even when they seem inadequate, desperate, and illogical. Our silent, inexpressible desperation He is completely aware and empathic to because He enters into our hearts to comfort and strengthen us.

Because He has been there.

He knows and feels every pain, dread, and fear you are going through. He has been there before you. He knew about your struggles before you experience them. Long before your trials He knew about them:

"For He [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender shoot (plant), And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majestic splendor That we would look at Him,
Nor [handsome] appearance that we would [a]be attracted to Him.He was despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief; And like One from whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him." - Isaiah 53:2-3

When you have done all you can do, sometimes the old expressions may be appropriate:

"let go...and let god".

Surrender your whole situation to Him. and when you have done all you can do, and there are seems to be no solution, there is one last thing you can do:

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]." - 1 Peter 5:6-7

In due time, He will enable you to bear it. The Apostle Paul gives shows us the way out:

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13
