'Christ in You...'

What God Wants To Do For You
Date Posted: July 23, 2023

Sometime in eternity past, God desired to expand His love to someone in addition to millions of angels who already loved Him, as He loved them.

He had angelic companionship, which was enjoyable and satisfying as His messengers and servants. However, being God, He desired something and someone like Himself - someone to love and from whom He could receive love and fellowship. He desired children.

Children as we know, are very much like their parents. Together they constitute what we call "family". God originated the original concept of family. But many eons ago, before there was family as we understand it, God desired beings who could relate to Him on a higher level than the angels, who could love and fellowship on the same level as Himself.

God ultimately decided to create a being in His own image and after His likeness (Genesis 2:7-8). There is a clue to at least part of the reason God decided to create humans who could become like Him in many ways. There is a section of scripture in the book of Isaiah which has overtones that seem to connect with the incident in the Garden of Eden between Eve and the serpent (Genesis 3:1-6).

Notice the drama spoken of by Isaiah:

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon;[a] I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.” - Isaiah 14:12-14

This is understood to be referring to the Arch-Angel Lucifer who some time in eons past rebelled against God, and he and many angelic host were tossed out of heaven, and were then called demons. Not all of the angelic hosts rebelled against God. But Lucifer and many angels, were cast out of heaven. Many apparently appeared on earth, one of which was turned into a snake that tempted Eve, the first woman made in God's image. God was not making more "gods", but creating a level of saints ("holy ones" - Grk) as children by adoption, who could be made perfect in character, and never rebel against God (Hebrews 12:22-23).

So, God made man as the beginning of a new and special creation - even higher then the angels. This could only be done over a very intricate and extended length of time. He would create (give birth) to something like Himself in many ways..

These "embryos", having already some God-like qualities, must voluntarily submit to and cooperate with God over an extended length of time in order to prove they would always be faithful. and loyal to God. These God-children would be begotten and born of God, and prove over years of living in the dust they had been made of (flesh), that they, with free will, were willing to become more and more like God in character.

These begotten ones must agree to becoming servants first. If, during this time of, growth and service the begotten ones failed to cooperate with His purpose for them, He loved them so much He was willing pay any price, do anything, to have His own sons and daughters with Him for eternity. He was willing to take upon Himself the deserved penalty for their failures. Jesus Christ agreed to come to earth and pay the penalty for the sins of all of those whom God had created. Mankind has received mercy and grace. But God is also just. Someone of greater value than of mankind must pay. God's scales must always balance. This was His will and His purpose. This still is His plan for the salvation of human kind.

Will you become one of His children?

Are you willing to let Him have His way with you, to mold and shape you into His image? If so, you can be with Him, and like Him in many ways, and with Him forever.

If you desire to be a child of God, the Father has decreed that you must come to Him through His only Son Jesus Christ (John 6:44,65). Repent to God the Father, and believe that Christ paid the price for your failures, by dying on a cross. (Acts 20:21). Surrender your life to God - the God who made you - and begin to cooperate with His Spirit that will be in you, and begin to grow and develop more and more into the likeness of Jesus Christ, and God the Father. You will now be His child, and eventually mature to finally be changed into a full-grown child of God. When your life in the flesh is over, He will complete your birth into His eternal family.

You too, will then live forever. Then you will be a fully grown child of God forever.
What an incredible future you can have - if you will repent, believe, and let your heavenly father make a unique child of you, so that you with millions of others, may live and enjoy forever the family of God!

That is what God wants to do for you.

"None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory. But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]." - 1 Corinthians 2:8-9 (AMP)
