'Christ in You...'

Sometime in eternity past, God desired to expand His love, to someone in addition to millions of angels, who would be not unlike Himself.

He had angelic companionship, which was enjoyable and satisfying as His messengers and servants. However, being God, He desired something and someone like Himself - someone to love and from whom He could receive love and fellowship. He desired children. Those who would relate to Him on a higher level, and fellowship on the same level as Himself. There is some speculation as to why God ultimately decided to create a being in His own image and after His likeness (Genesis 2:7-8).

There may be a clue as at least part of the reason God decided to create man to become like Him in many ways. There is section of scripture in the book of Isaiah which has overtones that seem to connect with the incident in the Garden of Eden between Eve and the serpent (Genesis 3:1-6).

Notice the drama spoken of by Isaiah:

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon; I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.” - Isaiah 14:12-14

This is understood by many to be referring to the Arch-Angel Lucifer who sometimes in eons past rebelled against God, and he and many angelic host were tossed out of heaven onto the earth, and subsequently called demons. Lucifer, perhaps as punishment, was turned into a snake that tempted Eve. Perhaps there was more than one reason for God deciding to create children who would never rebel. God decided to reproduce Himself - not in the sense making more "gods", but creating a level of "holy ones" as children by adoption who will have been made perfect (Hebrews 12:22-23).

So, God made man as the beginning of a new and special creation - even higher then the angels. This could only be done over a very intricate and extended length of time. He would create (give birth) to something like Himself in many ways, even from the beginning.

These embryos, having already some God-like qualities, must voluntarily submit to and cooperate with God over an extended length of time in order to reproduce Himself, and for them to be God children who could be begotten and born of God, with the same character as Himself, and prove that they could operate under the freedom of choice and free will, and at the same time become more and more developed into the image of God's likeness.

In order to become like God Himself, the begotten ones must agree to becoming servants first. If, during this time of procreation, growth and service, the begotten ones failed to cooperate with His purpose for them, He was willing to pay any price, do anything, to have His own sons and daughter with Him for eternity future. This was His will and His purpose.

This is His plan for the salvation of human kind. Being God, perfect in all things, He will not fail. Indeed He cannot fail. Will you be one of His children? Are you willing to let Him have His way with you, to mold and shape you into His image? If so, you can be with Him, and like Him, and with Him, live forever.

If you desire to be a child of God, the Father has decreed that you must come to Him through His only Son Jesus Christ (John 6:44,65). Believe in Jesus Christ, and repent of the life you have lived (Acts 20:21). Surrender your life to God in this way - the God who made you - and begin to cooperate with His Spirit that will be in you, and begin to grow and develop more and more the likeness of Jesus Christ.

You will now be His child, and eventually mature to finally be changed into a full-grown child of God. When your life in the flesh is over, He will complete your birth into His eternal family. You too, will then live forever. You will be a fully grown child of God forever.

What an incredible future you can have - if you will repent, believe, and let your heavenly father make a unique child to live and enjoy forever in the family of God!
There Is a reason why you are here; the reason you were born, and the purpose for you being alive.

Are you willing to fulfill it?

"None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory. But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]." - 1 Corinthians 2:8-9 (AMP)
