'Christ in You...'

Your Times
Just before He ascends to heaven after His resurrection, Jesus has some final words to answer the question asked of Him concerning His return. What He said must have been more than a little discouraging, even shocking to His disciples.
Jesus is asked when He would set up the Kingdom and restore Israel to its former prominence. They perhaps assumed that since He is about to ascend to the Father, He (Jesus) must be about to set up the Kingdom of God on earth:
"So when they were assembled, they asked Him, Lord, is this the time when You will reestablish the kingdom and restore it to Israel? He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power." - Acts 1:6-7
It is easy to miss all that Jesus says in His reply. Not only were the Apostles not to know when the Kingdom would be set up. Jesus Himself did not know when He would return and set up the Kingdom of God on the earth. This was something that only God the Father knew. It is the same today, Jesus may know now when He will return to set up the Kingdom. However, no one else knows. Therefore, it is apparent that no one today on the earth knows when Jesus will be sent to set up the Kingdom on earth.
This is one key to our inability to completely understand the times and seasons related in the book of Revelation, and especially concerning the times and season in our lives as His disciples today. However, this lack of knowing is part of God's purpose not only for the disciples of that time, but is part of God's wisdom for every believer since.
How - and why - should this be?
How could this be good, when you sometimes feel you desperately need to know your own "times and seasons"?
As one of God's "holy ones", where you are, and what your circumstances are today are no accidents, even if you cannot always discern the why of it all. The why and how of where you are is completely known only to God, but He does not inform you of the times of your life that He has kept in His own power. Only He knows our times and seasons. This lack of knowing is a blessing from Him.
You are led down roads, and placed in positions that He keeps secret until the times are right for you - for your good and His glory. He keeps most of he future parts of your life unknown to you until they are in alignment for the working out of His purpose of your life. He opens doors and shuts doors. Sometimes you may wonder why this, and why that. But all the this and thats are being intricately worked out for your good, and will some day be completely understood.
These are all part of your "times" and "seasons" known only to God. Through all these unknown workings of the smallest and large occurrences and circumstances, He is saying "trust Me!". Trust and obey; yield and wait, continue to trust Him. Your future life with Him is being woven, unseen in your yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows. Most of the time you cannot see the hand of God in your every day life.
Even as before you were born, God was weaving in the womb the intricate workings that became you. But no one could see what was becoming you. Only God could see who you would be. And let Him work out in your life that which you cannot see or understand.
If you knew all that God is doing in your life, you could react in a way that would interfere with your future in eternity. All the small and large things in your life, that you cannot understand, are designed to shape you into His image so you can comfortably live in your new home.
Then you will be ready for the time and season when the Father sends Jesus to establish the Kingdom.
"In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. - John 14:2-3
