A Love That Lasts Forever
Date Posted: February 21, 2020

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100:5 (NIV)

Do you remember this children’s table grace?

God is great, God is good

And we thank Him for our food.

By His hand, we are fed.

Thank You, God, for our daily bread.

God loves each of us in this century just like He loved the children of Israel as he led them out of Egypt.

his love endures forever

God’s love for His children lasts through very tough times. When we reach a certain age, we experience those less that ideal events in life-death of a loved one, loss of a job, personal or family illness. But God is there because of His great, unending love. Sometimes, that is all that keeps us going.

his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Because of His wonderful love, He never leaves us in a lurch. People will disappoint us, even pastors will disappoint us, God is there for us each day, every day.

As 21Century believers, we are to show God’s love to others. We can choose to do this in simple ways—opening the door for another person, sending cards to those who are ill or are grieving, making visits to those who are shut-ins, greeting people with a smile, saying comforting words.

For me, these thoughts are a reminder that we represent Jesus Christ and His love every day.
