Faith and Peace
Date Posted: October 25, 2019

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1-2 (ESV)

Paul explains in chapter 4 of Romans that Abraham believed God and, because of that, he was justified before God.

He concludes that because of our faith, we, also, receive peace with the Lord God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our trust in Jesus is because of what He did for us at Calvary. He took away our sins and placed them on Himself. Those big ones that we’d rather no one know about and those ‘little’ ones that we tend to commit every day. Even those ones we feel we do because we are “tired”, “angry”, or “right in doing it.”

Our faith should grow as we grow in the LORD. It grows as we face trials in our lives. Each of us learns something new about God and ourselves as we await the outcome of each difficult circumstance in our lives.

Each of God’s children desires to have peace in their lives. The kind of peace God offers His children is true and everlasting peace. The peace the world offers lasts until the next misunderstood statement is uttered, the next hostile act is done, or the next act of terrorism happens.

Don’t you think God’s peace is better?
