God's Words For US

"God's Trying to Speak to Us!"
Date Posted: June 9, 2023

I heard a lady say this at the ecumenical women’s meeting last month. Another lady responded with. “He has been trying to speak to us for a long time.”

Our lesson was on love and mental health. The discussion brought us to discuss the state of our world-wars, mass murders, reckless use of weapons (AK-15s) schools being targeted also comes to mind.

The two ladies were correct. God i s trying to tell us something. The problem is we are not listening to Him.

People get their feelings hurt and automatically they want to seek revenge, never mind that those people on whom they enact that revenge upon are innocent. The original thing that set them off may have been an innocent remark or action.

Due to the COVID-19 shut down, we hear of more incidents of mental instability. Mental illness has become a major concern of the agencies dealing with people.

My prayer list includes a section containing names of those I know or know of who have a mental health issue.

God knows our needs. We know He is watching, listening, and waiting for us to seek Him as we deal with these issues that beset us and our world.

Jesus told His disciples; “In this world you will have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world. ( John 16:33, NKJV)

I find it to be imperative that we listen to what God is telling us. I know that God will eventually run out of patience and grace and deal with us as He has to.

We must take the time to listen more closely to Him and what He has to tell us.
