God's Words For US
by Cecelia Lester
These are some thoughts I have had on prayer.
When we pray for someone, we ask God to guide that person through their day. If we are aware of his or her need, we specifically ask that He intervene in that circumstance. We may even ask God to bless that individual.
Sometimes, when have a difference with someone, we may have to ask God to forgive him or her because we can’t do it ourselves. When we have an issue affecting us, we try to seek His will and guidance for our lives.
When we get the sense that God is working in the areas that concern us, it is refreshing to see His hand on us and on the lives of those for whom we pray.
Our prayer lists may seem long but it is the way we can involve God in the lives and the circumstances we include on it. We will not know for certain how much our prayers have helped others or the Kingdom until we go before the LORD and He tells us how He was able to work because of them.
In the meantime, we can see God’s working when we look at circumstances through His eyes and not ours.
