Word from Nairnshire
by Sandy Shaw
Many years ago a Teacher wrote these wise words, which have profoundly influenced thousands of young lives, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth”.
Remember means much more than not forgetting. It implies a renewing of a relationship.
Following the Flood we read that God remembered Noah. God had not forgotten Noah during that period in the Ark, but now He was renewing His relationship with Noah, and events would move on.
Renew your relationship with God and enjoy a relationship with God as early as you can.
Those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ early in life often testify to what they have been saved from and how they have been guided, directed and led, avoiding various pitfalls and hazards.
No man can turn the clock back, but he can address the matter now, before becoming another day older.
Make sure you are lovingly related to God before it is time to return physically to the dust, because then it is too late.
How we finish depends much upon how we remember our Creator God and Saviour.
The Teacher’s answer to so much of what is regarded as meaningless in life is Remember your Creator.
Include God in everything. Never leave Him out nor ignore or neglect Him. Make God your foundation.
Jesus spoke clearly about the importance of foundations. This can be the key which unlocks so many of the mysteries of life.
This wise Teacher imparted knowledge to people. He pondered, searched things out, to find just the right words, so that he could present what was true.
He wanted his words to be fixed like nails in our minds, to anchor and secure us on important and vital matters.
Remember your Creator. The rewards are rich.
