'Christ in You...'

Making Good Memories
Date Posted: April 10, 2016

Did you know that you can assure that in the future you will not regret events in your past?

Keep regret away from your heart by surrendering your heart, mind, and body - your whole being to Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

This will keep your present life so as to serve you in the future because you have no regret. Your memory will then conjure up peace of mind and service to others and to Jesus Christ without any hindrances of sadness and regret. (Proverbs 4:23).

The present will eventually become your past. Then the past will serve rather than cripple you. Also, strive to keep your heart and conscience pure now, so that it may serve you rather than hinder you later.

Then you will not need to try to forget the past. Remembering will then strengthen the present, and will serve you rather than be a handicap to your life now, and in the future. (Ecclesiastes 7:10)

It is interesting that those who live to age one hundred seem to have few regrets. This can only be achieved by living God’s way today, regardless of your age. What is called today will become, if you live, the past that either hindered you or served you. If you live as Christ leads you now, then you will not need to forget the past.

So - regardless of your age, keep your heart away from those things that may prove to be a terrible regret in the future, when you may be the least capable of dealing with it. Live in such a way as to produce good memories tomorrow - and at age one hundred.

Then today will not become the future that you worried about yesterday, that has followed you to today. Now you will not need to struggle to forget the past. Remembering will then strengthen you in the present because all things worked together for good because you had surrendered you mind, body, and soul to the One who died for you, and Who you love because He first loved you. (1 John 4:19).

We all fail and sin in this life. Some more than others. Young and old. But they can be managed through our dependence on Christ, and they all can be forgiven.

Then when you are judged before Christ, He will ask you only one thing about your past: how well did you do with the gifts and abilities He gave you after you began to put your trust in Him.

Then you will forget forever any failures of your past.

He has...

"And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will. We are assured and know that God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose. For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren." - Romans 8:27-29
