God's Words For US

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly of heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-31
These are the words of Jesus.
Have you ever been completely worn out, even to the point of physical or mental exhaustion? Jesus has a remedy for those times. He invites us to join Him.
Have you ever seen an ox yoke? There are two parts to the apparatus; an ox yoke is made for a team of two oxen. The animals are to work side by side as the farmer directs them.
In this passage, Jesus tells us we can share our burdens with Him, and He will teach us what we need to become rested, and even stronger.
He lightens our burdens, He takes them onto Himself, thereby giving us the rest we need.
Don’t we all have times of needing to ‘slip into Jesus’ yoke and His presence and allow Him to carry our burdens for us?
