It's true. I see dead people. It's not a daily occurrence but, on average, every couple of weeks or so. I have to wonder why I am privileged to see them. I didn't ask for this, and I certainly didn't expect it to happen. When it first happened, I was quite shocked and moved emotionally.

It took me back to the time when I was a child, and my grandmother died. I wept bitterly.

I recalled the last time I held my nineteen-month-old son, who had just been pronounced dead. The pain was so profound; I couldn't cry.

This guy I know is one I don't want to be traveling with on a long road trip. He's a good guy, but his mouth tends to speak everything he is thinking. I mean everything. I've often looked at myself in the mirror and wanted to punch the mirror because of the disparaging thoughts I agree with concerning myself. Fortunately, I know better than to punch the mirror, lest I shatter it and cut myself.

Remember the shocking feeling radiating through your body when stubbing your little toe? The extreme pain makes you jump around like a dancing gorilla. You jump around like a one-legged high wire artist. Your voice box clamps up like a Venus flytrap preventing your bellow from expressing itself.

Earthquakes shake and shift the ground we walk on. If it's strong enough, the shaking and shifting will damage and destroy the buildings we've settled in.

So, it is with God. He destroys the thoughts of comfort and complacency we enjoy under His protective sphere. At this moment in time, God is the earthquake.

The time comes when the Lord calls us out from His protective covering.

This verse grabs my attention. In the middle of this chapter, it exerts God's powerful ability to destroy the works of Satan. This verse reminds me of the cheesy commercials that play up their product then state, "But that's not all!" It's phycological wording to reel in your attention to increase the perceived value in your mind.

But God is not cheesy. He, in this verse, is upping the ante. God is adding more goodness to your plate.…  ( Click for more )

On my last blog on Psalm 91:7, we talked about the difficulty of believing God's words. At times, the Word of God seems to be too good to be true. Verse 8 gets better.

When we submit our way of trying to live our life to the full and trust God's direction, we will see the enemy fail in every aspect of our life. God will also make the enemy return all he has stolen from us.

I hear the Lord say to start running the victory lap now. Start seeing yourself as the victor in any given situation.

I’ve heard it for years. The “Blame Game”. Family, friends and co-workers blame, blame, blame. I did it for many years. But what good does it do? Does it somehow solve problems? Does it strengthen relationships? Does it insure a strong future for you or others? Of course not.

So why blame?

v Blame can give us a false sense of self-confidence.

+ If we fail at a project or relationship, blaming someone else could make us feel as if we gave it our best shot.
