Can you see me? I mean REALLY SEE ME? Not the outside person with the brown hair and brown eyes but the inside person, the one with God's character and God's dispositon? I know for my self that I have major character flaws and I have plenty of family and friends who could tell you what they are! But I am so blessed in the fact that they CHOOSE to see me through God's eyes and not their own. I have to choose to see myself through God's eyes and not my own eyes. One of my co-workers favorite saying is "Let it go!" Which interpreted means, don't bring it up again, don't think about it again, don't comment on it again-let it go! There are some things (and people) we need to let go of.

But you can have the Word laying around your house all day long and it is not power to you because you have not put it in you. This seems to be a subject that God is continually dealing with me on. Being intimate with Him. I have been studying and reading books and praying over this one subject. So I ask myself, SELF, Why is this subject so important to God? Then I decided I better ask the one who knew! So GOD, why is intimacy with you so important to you? Boy, did I get answers. Why does the Bible say a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches?-[Proverbs riches?-[Proverbs riches?-[Proverbs 22:1] I was thinking about this the other day. Have you ever wondered if one day, you might finally come to the place where you have arrived at spiritual maturity? What causes us to have a lifestyle of pointing fingers at others in judgment and criticism? What causes a person to analyze every move, word and deed others make and then make judgments in their thinking on whether or not it was said or done right, for the right reason and always questioning their motives? Are you or have you ever been that kind of person? If so, what do you think made you that way? How many times do we dig a hole big enough to bury ourselves in by the words of our mouths or our own actions? Don't we often say and do things that are contrary to what we are trying to accomplish in our on lives? We scoop that dirt out and make that hole bigger and bigger with the shovel of our mouth! Then our actions follow and we dig even deeper! We are digging our own graves and don't even recognize what we do. How does this happen? How can we stop the momentum and cause it to start the other direction? Is it possible to turn it around?

Decorate my house for Chiristmas for Jesus? I was having a conversation with the Lord and was telling Him that I don't seem to have the Christmas Spirit this year. I proceeded to tell Him what a really bad year this was for me and my family. We had had a lot of tragedy, problems, sickness etc...some connected to others and it had really been a hard year. What I was telling was just my honest feelings. Lately I have been thinking a lot about where I am suppose to be, why am I here, what is my job for God, things like that. As I was meditating on these things, the Lord brought back to my remembrance the first time that He ever gave me a hint of what He wanted me to do. I call that my burning-bush experience. I was reading a book about a woman evangelist and a phrase in that book jumped out at me. Now this phrase may mean nothing to you but it did too me. I was talking to one of my friends the other day about her grandaughter. She was telling me how Cami was not able to be quiet for liteally 15 seconds!(They timed her while trying to teach her the quiet game!)

Are you one that has a tendency of comparing yourself to others? Do you compare your children to other children? Your parenting skills to others parenting skills? Do you compare your job, money, church, pastor, car, home, family, even your spouse to others?

How does it make you feel when you or your family or things do not measure up to whom or what you compare them too? Doesn't it make you feel inferior? I am writing this particular article to stir us up (me included) in remembrance of all that prayer does. I have noticed (to my own hurt I might add) the amount of prayer time that has DECREASED in my life over the past year or so. I found myself looking back and reflecting on how I used to pray and how I pray now. It was scary when I realized how UN-sensitive I had become to the Holy Spirit's leading in my prayer life and how that it has affected the rest of my life. It has affected others in my life, relationships, work, I could go on and on.

Every person in this world will have to face major life changing, heart-breaking, gut-wrenching events at least once and sometime multiple times in their life span. Even though these are not every day occurrences, they will affect the rest of your life. They can change the course of your life forever and even destroy it. What does it mean to face myself? Why do I want to face myself? What are the results if I do face myself? What are the consequences if I don't face myself? How do I face myself?

World English Dictionary's definition of the word face:

come up against somebody or something: to meet or confront somebody or something directly and bravely

I have discovered as my children as grown older, that our life is like that saying on Forrest Gump....Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get! Well I am beginning to see that families are the same way. You raise your chocolates up, they leave the box and then bring other chocolates back to the box and each new chocolate is a surprise! Sometimes a good surprise sometimes...well...you get the picture. Then they take those chocolates away and bring a different flavor of chocolate back to the box! I am realizing more and more everyday that life never turns out the way we plan it. However, I can REST, knowing that God truly has my back; I trust in Him. He knew before I did about these circumstances of my life; He goes ahead of me to make the crooked paths straight. People change and life happens. Seasons in our lives come and go, but our God never changes. I trust His character. I could leave and then come back 10 years later and He would still be the same God that He was when I left Him. Father,

I NEED to know the love that You have for me. I need to KNOW, have an understanding, a comprehension, have an experiential knowledge of the love you have for me. Not just for the body of Christ, but for me personally. I need to know that you know who I am and know my life and care about my personal life. If I don't have a real knowledge of this kind of love then there is no way I can show it to someone else.

Sometimes we obsess over problems down here on earth so much and so constant, that there isn't any more room in our little pea brains to fill it with anything else. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!
